About Me
My name is Meagan Sheffield, and I am a Biomedical Sciences (BIMS) graduate from Texas A&M University. I grew up in Tyler, TX with two younger sisters. I enjoy playing the drums, editing other people's papers, and spending time with my dog, Zoe.
I originally decided to major in BIMS because I wanted to be a veterinarian, but through the program, I have realized I have other career options after graduation. I have explored many in the past three years, and I believe pursuing veterinary medicine is still my best option. I plan on applying to vet school this summer.
Outside of my coursework, I was heavily involved in extracurricular activities. I gained leadership experience as a treasurer for multiple organizations, as an Honors sophomore advisor, and as a Life & Arts editor at The Battalion, A&M's student newspaper. Additionally, I was a member of Pre-Vet Society, and I volunteered at Aggieland Humane Society and Aggieland Safari. In my free time, I enjoyed performing with Percussion Studio at gigs and concerts each semester.
Below, you can find photos of some of my experiences in Aggieland and my future goals.
